The features include WiFi Connectivity, Flow Monitoring, Bypass Rain Sensor by Station, Seasonal Adjust by Program, One-Touch Watering, and Contractor Default.

With WiFi Connectivity, users can access, operate, and monitor their irrigation system from anywhere by simply plugging in a Rain Bird LNK WiFi Module (sold separately). The internet-based weather information is used to make daily adjustments to the irrigation schedule, saving up to 30% in water.

The Flow Monitoring feature is compatible with multiple sizes and makes of wired flow sensors for flow monitoring and notifications to save water and protect against property damage.

The Bypass Rain Sensor by Station function allows users to bypass the rain sensor for stations under an eave or deck or in a greenhouse for consistent watering.

The Seasonal Adjust by Program feature saves water by changing the seasonal adjust from 5% to 200% for corrected run times without changing the scheduled times.

With the One-Touch Watering feature, users can start manually watering the current program by pressing and holding the right arrow button when the dial is in the AUTO position.

The Contractor Default feature allows users to save a default program and easily restore it in just two steps if the original watering schedule is overwritten in error.

The programming recommendation from Rain Bird is that the maximum irrigation zone cycle time should be less than the time required for runoff to begin and that there should be adequate soak time before the next irrigation cycle of that same zone begins again.

The operating specifications include station timing from 1 minute to 6 hours, Seasonal Adjust from 5% to 200%, and a maximum operating temperature of 149°F (65°C).

The ESP-ME3 controller provides station count options from 4 to 22 stations, allowing users to install the same controller on residential and light commercial sites and add station modules when expanding irrigation without removing or even powering down the controller.

The ESP-ME3 can be upgraded to a SMART controller by adding the LNK WiFi module and a WR2 rain sensor, which makes programming and monitoring easy through the enhanced Rain Bird app.

The controller is configurable to 22 stations with additional 3 or 6 station modules for different sized jobs or future irrigation needs, and it comes with a power plug and outdoor cabinet for indoor or outdoor installation.

The ESP-ME3 also features a large text and symbols on the color-coded dial positions for easy understanding, and a large 3" back-lit screen that is clear to read in dark garages or sheds.
